Nancy’s Story on overcoming weight loss resistance

Nancy has really done a great job on the OBB program. She was already on the right track – but not having the success she wanted. We uncovered her main area of weight loss resistance and the fat and inches has really come off! I’m so proud of how she jumped in with both feel, fully embraced the change and is now on the path to accomplishing her health and wellness dreams. Way to go Nancy! We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another.

Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough, and that all will be well when they are older.

Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out of the teen years.

We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire.

The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now. (more…)

First Lunch, Second Lunch

 

“Pregnant Pam and I get hungry at the same times. So we’ve been eating together ALOT. Not all meals, just second breakfast, lunch, second lunch and first dinner.”

Again – the office.  I KNOW!  But I think Kevin is on to something with the first lunch, second lunch idea! We all have heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day…OK…we get it!  Hey Breakfast – stop showing off already! You ARE important but so are all the other meals, too.

Really – the most important idea is to have all of your meals balanced, keep your blood sugars under control and get back to fat buring as soon as possible.  A great way to do this is to have first lunch and second lunch!  (more…)
