We incorporate a number of therapies to help people improve their health. One of the techniques we find very helpful for many people is called amino acid therapy. Amino acid therapy is a term used to describe the use of supplemental amino acids to help balance brain chemicals called neurotransmitters.
Amino acid therapy entails supplying each person the right balance of amino acids they need along with the other nutrients needed (called cofactors) to restore proper neurotransmitter function. This requires professional guidance, which may include testing to determine a person’s exact amino acid needs; however, with proper guidance amino acid therapy can provide the missing piece of the puzzle for many disorders, including:
Depression | Anxiety | Migraines |
Insomnia | Cravings | Increased appetite |
Low pain tolerance | Hot flashes | Mood swings |
PMS | Sleep difficulties | Poor memory |
Weight gain | Poor weight loss | Hormone imbalances |
Poor mental focus | Poor concentration | Restless legs |
Fibromyalgia | Fatigue/Chronic fatigue | Poor thyroid function |
Parkinson’s Disease | ADD/ADHD | Trichotillomania |
Addictions | Binging behavior | Eating disorders |
Obsessive thoughts | Compulsion | Crohn’s disease |
This occurs because amino acid therapy addresses a fundamental cause of all these disorders, which is neurotransmitter imbalance. By giving the body the nutrients it needs to restore proper neurotransmitter function, amino acid therapy can alleviate symptoms due to neurotransmitter imbalance and optimize health.
I’ll be posting more information on amino acid therapy in the coming months; we have worked with over 1000 people using amino acid therapy, and the results can be amazing!
