Enjoy these refreshing drinks. Mix ‘em up & serve ‘em up at your next ‘mock-tail’ party!
Mint Lime Aide:
1/4 cup loosely packed mint leaves
1 teaspoon of xylitol
1 1/2 oz. lime juice
soda water to fill. In a sturdy glass muddle mint with xylitol. Add ice, lime juice and soda water. Stir well. I usually refer to this drink jokingly as the ‘No-jito’ because it is so similar to the popular mojitos.
Cucumber water:
1 small English cucumber, thinly sliced
2 quarts of filtered water
Ice
Add the cucumbers to the water and let chill in the refrigerator for one hour.
Orange & Cucumber water:
Same as above – just add orange. Also very good with lime or grapefruit!
Iced Hibiscus Tea:
1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
2 cups hot water
¼ cup xylitol (or use other natural sweeteners like stevia, honey or agave nectar)
In a French press steep hibiscus with hot water for 15 to 20 minutes. Pour off tea and add sugar, stirring to dissolve. Let cool. Serve over ice.
Virgin Pina Colada
1 cup of pineapple
1 cup coconut milk
Ice to blend/taste
½ scoop Jay Robb vanilla protein powder
Blend until desired consistency.
Twists:
